How to Enjoy
Usucha (Traditional Matcha) Recipe
Ingredients (1 serving)
• Matcha powder: 2g
• Hot water: 60–70ml
Instructions
- Place the matcha powder into a tea bowl.
- Pour in 60–70ml of hot water.
- Using a bamboo whisk, whisk briskly with a light wrist motion until a fine foam forms on the surface.
- Once the matcha and foam are well combined, it is ready to enjoy.
For usucha, we recommend enjoying it without sweeteners to fully appreciate the natural umami and aroma of the matcha.
Matcha/Hojicha Latte Recipe (Hot / Iced)
Ingredients (1 serving)
• Matcha powder: 3–4g(Hojicha powder: 2-3g)
• Hot water: 30ml
• Milk: 100ml
• Sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, etc.)
Instructions
- Add the matcha/hojicha powder to a bowl or cup and pour in 30ml of hot water.
- Whisk with a bamboo whisk or hand mixer until smooth and lump-free.
If using a sweetener, we recommend adding it at this stage. - Pour in 100ml of hot or cold milk, adjusting to your preferred strength.
